A trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol's Fort Myers' headquarters offers Vice President Mike Pence a salute as he prepares to leave Southwest Florida International Airport on Sunday afternoon. Pence spent the weekend on Sanibel Island.

Vice President Mike Pence left Lee County on Sunday afternoon after a two-day, mini-vacation on Sanibel Island.

Air Force Two touched down at Southwest Florida International Airport on Friday afternoon, and Pence's motorcade passed over the Sanibel Causeway around 5 p.m. He made the return trip shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday and flew out of Southwest Florida International Airport  around 3:30 p.m..

Sanibel has been his vacation destination for years. Last year, he stayed for a week and celebrated Easter at Sanibel Community Church.

He's even become a regular at Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market on Tarpon Bay Road, where his photo is proudly displayed on the wall three times.

If you spotted Pence while dining at your favorite restaurant, sitting at church or lounging at the beach, we want to see it.
