Detectives seek info on Golden Gate Estates shooting that injured one man

Detectives are seeking information on a shooting that left one man injured early Feb. 7 in Golden Gate Estates, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.  

Just after 4 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a residence in the area of 52nd Avenue Northeast and Everglades Boulevard, according to the sheriff’s office.  

Shots were fired into the residence by an unknown suspect or suspects. In the residence, a male victim was struck, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and later released, according to investigators.  

Detectives believe it was an isolated incident and the community is not in danger, according to the sheriff's office. An investigation into the shooting continues.
