Cool stuff on DVD today: '56 Up' and more

We have a smaller crop of flicks this week, but I spy a few good ones:

Release o' the week: 56 Up . I'm very eager to see the latest installment in Michael Apted's documentary series that has followed a group of people every seven years since they were 7 years old.

The doc '56 Up' is out on DVD today.

- Venus and Serena. The astounding sisters are profiled in this noteworthy doc.

- North & South. A young 'n' handsome Patrick Stewart (with hair) stars in this 1975 miniseries.

- The House I Live In. This documentary examines the U.S. war on drugs and how it has affected America's poor and minority communities.

Blu-ray highlight:Mel Brooks' The Producers is out in the format today, as is John Landis' Kentucky Fried Movie.
