Soccer star Alex Morgan announces birth of her daughter, Charlie Elena Carrasco

U.S. Women's National Team soccer star Alex Morgan has a new daughter who may someday follow in her parents' athletic footsteps. 

Morgan revealed on social media Saturday that she and her husband, former L.A. Galaxy forward Servando Carrasco, welcomed their new baby, Charlie Elena Carrasco, into the world on Thursday.

"She made us wait longer than expected, but I should have known she would do it her way and her way only," Morgan tweeted as she posted a photo of her "super moon baby."

Morgan revealed she was pregnant in October, a little more than three months after leading the USWNT to a second consecutive Women's World Cup title.
